Well known television host and actress, Mandira Bedi will be seen opposite TV actor Eijaz Khan in her forthcoming film - Meerabai Not Out. Nonsense talks said that she was nervous about looking older than her co-actor in this film. But she denies this news and says that she was not at all nervous or worried about looking older to Eijaz in the film. Instead they tried unusual looks on her so that hercharacter looked credible and real. She was not trying to look younger or anything,
It is known that apart from Mandira and Eijaz Khan this movie also stars Mahesh Manjrekar and Anupam Kher in central roles. Anil Kumble will be seen making a guest appearance in the film. This film is scheduled to release on 5th Dec this year. According to Mandira a lot of films are made
around the theme of sports, but they are about the players.
She also said that Meerabai Not Out belongs to that particular section which is essential for any sport and the fans. Speaking about her role in the film, she said that she plays the character of a
32-year-old maths teacher in a Hindi medium school who is passionate about Anil Kumble. The idea of the film was suggested to Pritish Nandi Communications by Mandira Bedi's husband Raj Kaushal and it was he who asked National Award winning Marathi director Chandrakant Kulkarni to make the film.
Since the film revolved around a middle class Marathi girl, they wanted a director who could bring that flavor to the film and the director of Meerabai Not Out has done just that. He has made the film credible and believable.
Talking about her acting she said that she is a spontaneous actor and she doesn't believe in preparing for her roles because she does not believe in method acting. When she is in the character, she goes with the flow and with what the director says. In this film her look made her to get into her role and
feel the character. 
Mandira started her career as the central character in the hugely popular television serial 'Shanti' in 1994 and then went on to do films like 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Shaadi Ka Laddoo' and 'Dus Kahaniyaan'. She also acted in the famous and long lived television serial called Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
